WHAT: Grand opening of Shake Shack’s first Seattle location in South Lake Union

DETAILS: Shake Shack will open its first-ever Washington Shack on Thursday, October 11, at 11 a.m. in Seattle’s dynamic South Lake Union neighborhood. Located at 2115 Westlake Avenue, the Shack will be situated in a striking freestanding building, just minutes away from Amazon Headquarters.

Guests should anticipate longer wait times and lines on opening day – please plan accordingly.

In addition to the Shack classics, the South Lake Union Shack has teamed up with local purveyors Sea Wolf, Theo’s Chocolate and A la Mode on a unique selection of frozen custard concretes:

  • Coffee & Croissant: Vanilla custard, Sea Wolf croissant brittle, Theo’s dark chocolate chunks and coffee caramel sauce
  • Shack Attack: Chocolate custard, fudge sauce, chocolate truffle cookie dough, Theo’s dark chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate sprinkles
  • Pie Oh My: Vanilla custard with slice of A la Mode seasonal pieThe menu will also feature the Montlake Double Cut ($10.99), a Seattle- exclusive burger made from a selection of local ingredients. The Montlake Double Cut features a Washington State all-natural beef double cheeseburger with Beecher’s ‘Just Jack’ cheese, caramelized onions and grainy mustard mayo on a Macrina Bakery bun. The specialty burger will be available daily in limited quantities (100 per day).Guests can wash their burgers down with local brews from Fremont Brewing, Black Raven Brewing Co., Aslan Brewing Co and Reuben’s Brews plus Shake Shack’s exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister® Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack RedTM and Shack WhiteTM wine from the Gotham Project.

    The South Lake Union Shack will donate 5% of sales from the Pie Oh My concrete throughout the life of the Shack to YouthCare, an organization that works to end youth homelessness and to ensure that young people are valued for who they are and empowered to achieve their potential.
